I will never cease to be amazed by people who are all YAY APOCALYPSE! and want to help make it happen sooner. Also I really like the group's name.

This scary website that [livejournal.com profile] springheel_jack found is also pretty entertaining. Please do not buy me a "tribal" tote bag.

I <3 TV Tropes!

Feck, I know we're (Israel) are terrible, but seriously, we are not apocalypse worthy!

I clicked through on tvtropes to prophetic fallacy and after reading the examples am just amazed they didn't list Oedipus.
AMIRITE?

Also, what do the Covenant Woman do? I couldn't figure it out. My best guess is they write reverse fairy tales and make tote bags.

And finally, God really got lazy when it came to China sending Gwen Shaw there like 2,000 years after Jesus came to save everyone else.

The last word on the YAY Apocalypse Xtians was written by Fred Clark:
[T]his so-called-theology precisely parallels the plot of many an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Zealous fanatics loyal to some secretive prophecy try to bring about the signs that will summon their master and bring about the apocalypse and the death of nearly everyone on earth. (Buffy and the gang, contra the Apostolic Congress, regard this as a Bad Thing that should be stopped.)

It''s your fault I just spent the last 3 hours on tv tropes. But I did discover a webcomic called I was kidnapped by Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space as a result of some clicking, and if it even comes anywhere near close to living up to the awesome which is the title, that is a good result.

That comic is fun, although problematic in respects.

Y'know, triggering the apocalypse might just be worth it to see the looks on all the fundies' faces when their god pulls a no-show.

On the topic of apocalypse

I have some friends who make ritual noise and metal music to bring the apocalypse via magic(k), under the assumption that the planet will be better off once the human race is decimated.

Definitely not Christian. And I often find myself agreeing with their goals. It helps that I enjoy their methods.

Also, that website is terrifying.

Those tote bags are hideous and may themselves bring on the apocalypse.
